Meet Olivia Devonmille, P.A.

Olivia Devonmille is a former Workers’ Compensation Judge who served St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties. This judicial service gives her a unique perspective when representing injured workers. Her first exposure to Florida’s Workers’ Compensation system occurred in the 1980s when she sustained an injury while working at the State Attorney’s Office. Her claim was denied, and she was forced to hire a lawyer to represent her. In 1987, shortly after prevailing in her Workers’ Compensation claim, she started practicing Workers’ Compensation Law. Five years later, in 1992, Olivia was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to the position of Judge of Compensation Claims. Olivia was re-appointed to this position in 1996. Since 2008, Olivia has concentrated her practice in the representation of injured workers.

Olivia is a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast and is a descendant of one of the original founding families of St. Lucie County.

Olivia is a 1981 graduate of Duke University where she was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Olivia graduated from The Florida State University College of Law in 1983 and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1984.

She was twice appointed to serve on the Grievance Committee of The Florida Bar for a total of six years of public service. She is a member of the Indian River County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association (FJA), and the Florida Workers’ Advocates (FWA).
